Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya

Kenya's inaugural rhino sanctuary was established in response to the endangered status of rhinos. The sanctuary harbors a significant rhino population and is abundant with vibrant pink flamingos. Both greater and lesser flamingos congregate at the lake's shores to obtain blue-green algae, creating distant pink-hued clouds and serving as the primary allure in the park.

Wildlife

The park boasts a broad ecological diversity, with flamingos (both greater and lesser) and other water birds serving as its primary attractions. The ecosystem sustains approximately 56 mammal species, including white rhinos and buffaloes, and hosts nearly 450 terrestrial bird species.
